- Description: This is a gorgeous portrait of a women holding a large floral arrangement as she is looking directly at the viewer. Her soft, but intense stare adds another interesting layer to the work, as it seems she is trying to catch your eye. This work was reframed or re-enforced by J. Cochen, which is likely the reason behind the large wooden panel at the back of the piece.
- Signature: Signature cut off by frame but looks like Lacbon
- Condition: Fine overall condition, except for the yellowed varnish combining with the blue pigments as it aged, producing the green tint throughout the work, likely due to aging natural resins. There is also minor wear, scuffs, and debris along the frame. The painting has also been re-enforced with a wooden panel a long time ago, as the sticker on the back states “J. Cochen Since 1846 Heern Cracht 937 Amsterdam TEL: 1677.†See our multiple images.
